Yeah, the glue thingy was new to me too - I'm no expert myself, only on my third allotment growing season but I've learned shed loads from this forum, often from others asking questions so feel free to ask away You could always save seeds anyway and just see what you get. I certainly plan to, though I may try gluing the flowers too just to see. If they do cross you might get a new and exciting variety

You are a friendly bunch that's for sure. I've been amazed at the replies I've had to my posts and just when I think the answers have covered everything someone makes another good point. It really is a great forum and it will be invaluable in my first year of growing I'm sure and no doubt in future years too. I think I'll just leave most of the chilli plants to their own devices this year but I will try to save pure seeds from the purple tiger as those plants look small and look really nice. Where is the best place to get insect netting from?

You may well find your local Garden Centre stocks Enviromesh or something similar, but that's probably not the cheapest option.

Here's a thread on the subject.

          I got my Enviromesh from
          Agralan Enviromesh, Insect Netting
I haven't checked if their price is still competitive, but their service was good.

thanks for the netting replies. I'll take a look at the thread, the website, the garden centre and probably ebay and find the best price. Thanks again

hi john, first of all this thread is 2 years old, secondly your post has nothing to do with collecting chilli seeds! However there is an introduce yourself thread which you may want to post on!
