Young plant food

Hi

You know when you recieve plug plants from people like thompson and morgan they always seem to have a great root system with little top growth.

Does anyone know what feed it could be?

light is a major factor.....their plug plants are grown with lots of light so don't end up as long as spindly as the same variety you plant on your windowsill.
Compost / growing medium should account for 1st 3 weeks from sowing seed...new potting on compost will have feed supply for the next stage.
