with new hybrids being developed each year (had wonderful 'dagger' parsnips out of a container this year) is anyone aware of a variety of brussel sprouts that might thrive in a 30ltr container?
I was taught that Brussel sprouts need to have the soil they are in very well firmed after planting otherwise the sprouts blow very easily. Very difficult to achieve that in a container.

Could you not just fill the containers with heavy clay soil and tred the plants in firmly?
