Hi one and all
Went upto new allotment today to try and get going, the allotment site was a field used for grazing animals till ploughed in Sept last year.
I have dug two small beds to put in my rubbarb I am going to split from garden and about a spit down is a layer were the grass has been turned into the soil and wasn't cut first as very long. What is the best thing to do
The two beds I dug to the depth of spade and then just covered in compost from local composting site.
Should I take this approach on main beds when I dig them or should I try something different
All and any advise welcome as havent a clue what will be best
