Wait till HSS do a 3 for 2 day hire, Ithink it was around mid march last year when I hired one

If you are breaking new ground get a Cultivator (self powered drive) rather than a tiller (power to the tines own). Either way it will be a bit like a bucking bronco

If the ground has been dug before a tiller should be fine, but a cultivator may be faster / do a better job. Needs a bigger vehicle to cart it back-and-forth though.
