I bought sweetpea from my local garden centre yesterday, they are about 3 to 4 inches high. Ive got them in my cold frame at the moment but not sure when to plant them out. I live in the south of the country and it was frosty this morning.
They are fairly hardy. Mine are about an inch high, sown from seed a month or so back in a cold greenhouse - I'ts been down to -4 in there recently (there's a broken pane!) I sowed them in October the previous season and planted them in Feb but they slunk around for a bit before growing. They might appreciate it a bit warmer but I don't think you'll kill them by planting out now.
Same here, can't buy them in BG but sister posting some of her last year crop to try. Will it be too late to sow now, I have a propagator?
Not too late and if you wait till its warmer you can sow straight into the ground. I lost some in the greenhouse ( cold ) as the sun was too hot for them and they shrivelled up, I have put them outside in the trays for now.
