I have taken over a section of my parents garden and decided to make use of a hilly part of the garden at the bottom, The orientation is pretty much east/west.

For some background, there is a large holly back left by the fence which casts a big shadow but roated during the day. I already have a section for runner beans setup elsewhere and I was wondering wether this location might be good for French climbing beans ( I have Cobra ordered) Or would something else be better suited here?
Thanks in advance
James.
P.S due to the grass on the hill, was it worth lining the steppes i cut out of the hill with weed fabric or plastic sheet to stop the grass robbing nutrients? ( I can strip all the grass off as my folks werent amazingly happing with cutting out the steppes lol)
