now i realise this may seem like a strange question, but as with most things, i'm sure someone will have a simple answer somewhere... where can i find a simple guide that tells me what i can sow and when? for example what can i sow now, that i can harvest in the autumn/winter? I just havent quite managed to get my little brain around the planning ahead side of things...im sure this will come with time and experience, i am just a little concerned that we are so excited about whats happening right now!...but once the summer planting/harvesting is done..i just don't want to lose momentum! x

The best advice I got on here, when I started (apart from 'get Chickens' which was a mistake, as I now have over thirty of the little fluffy chuffers!) was; Plant what you like to eat!
So, bearing in mind I'm on the Atkins Diet (carb-free) I've just planted over a hundred SPUDS!!!! LOL
Now you know why I always greet people with; Welcome to the Madhouse! All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment

Twosheds the monthly planner file is a stroke of genius! At the moment I have 3 bags of seeds:sown, to be sown, and will be sown repeatedly. But having a monthly thing would be so much easier!I do Charity Wild food walks. Check out www.msitu.co.uk
