  • Help With Chilli Plant

Hi, I am after some advice with my chilli plants. Yesterday I noticed some greenfly on one chilli plant (jalapeno I think) I checked two purple tiger chilli plants nearby and there was no sign of any on them. I removed the greenfly and then I sprayed the affected plant and the purple tiger plants with fairy liquid in water but I think I probably added to much fairy to the water. Anyway, this morning a few leaves on all three plants have fell off and some are just dangling but all rolled up. Would this be because of the fairy liquid solution and is it anything to worry about? Thanks for your time

I think you just answered your own question. Too full on for the poor plants. Unless you have an infestation you would be better to just pick off the greenflies and squish them. Or you could remove the infested plant from the rest until its clear of the greenflies.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Fairy's not good for leaves: the soft soap to use is based on vegetable oils (and then only very diluted)

Thanks for your replies. Will the plants be ok do you think? Most of the leaves are still on and look healthy enough and I'll keep the fairy liquid strictly for washing up from now on!
