Anyone ever tried these outside? I have too many for the greenhouse this year.

Fi I'm growing one of my Armish Paste outside and up to yet its still in a bucket because it overnights in the house, when I checked it earlier I found 2 baby toms

I will also be growing Amish Paste outside this year, amongst a number of other varieties I can't fit in the greenhouse.

Its my first year growing properly, and I too have about 10 Amish Paste toms. Still only about 8-10 inches high.

After much googling I'm gonna put half in the GH, and half in containers outside to compare. the outside half are hardening off during the days now.

I wouldn't say they're leggy, but some of the side shoots and the top shoot tend to be a bit floppy. Does that sound right?

The ones in the greenhouse are still ripening.

interesting...my reasonably early-sown seedlings completely failed to progress, when other more hardcore ones e.g. black sea man did fine. has anyone else experienced this with A.M?
Also, how's the taste? I was going to give up on them for next year, but if they're yum I'll try once again.

Have the seeds drying as we speak .........I'll have to ask him . Fancy complaining that he's got a glut of tomatoes and doesn't know what to do with them

Bet he gets loads of offers to help reduce the mountain,they have a real flavour gotta make me a cold frame this winter,try & get a headstart next year

There was a trayfull left over that he'd put in the kitchen for the ploughmans lunches .. ..very nice roasted with courgettes , onion and a goodly sprinkle of herbs..
