Tomorite on cucumbers and squash....?

Is it okay to feed cucumbers and squash with tomorite/tomato food?

I know that you can feed aubergines and chilli's with it but is it okay for fruiting veg in general....!

I feed lots of stuff with tomorite its high level of potash can help most things that fruit.

I feed toms of course + melons, cumbers, courgettes, strawberries, sweet peppers and potatoes amongst others.

I usually start feeding once the flowers appear - and then every week or so once the fruiting begins.

Bear in mind that a lot of things don't need as much feed as the manufacturers would have you believe. There's a theory that over feeding gives rise to rapidly grown, flavourless fruits.

You're right Flum - I never feed plants, but I do feed the soil with loads of well rotted garden compost which always has some manure in it as well - mainly from local sheep. I remember Fred Loads in gardeners' question time, when asked how deeply compost should be applied, suggested that
you should keep it a little lower than the windowsills
