Runner Beans

Could you please assist I planted my runner beans and they are growing very well, last year my beans had Red flowers this year they are White and the leaves are not so dark green as last year, I would appreciate any information you could give me , I have misplaced the seed packet , many thanks

Jackie there's a few runners that have white flowers :-

White Lady, White Emergo and White Swan I've only grown W/ lady and they did fairly well.

I have White Lady & Red Rum side by side and the foliage on the White Lady is lighter than Red Rum.

Must say you are doing well to have them in flower already.

Red rum should beat White Lady on the run in even if top weight......

You are doing well Jackie to have them in flower all ready. Mine are only about 4" high. I'm growing a white flowered (White Lady) and a red (Enorma).

Thank you for your replies. This is only my second year of growing my own veg and I must say things are looking very good, everything is growing so fast,I had home grown strawberries and cream on sunday lush! only wish I had done this years ago it gives me so much pleasure.

Desiree is also a white flowered variety and it also has paler leave than the red flowered varieties. What colour are the leaves of the bi-coloured Painted Lady and there is a peachy coloured one I've seen on someone elses plot at the allotment? Just a thought.
