  • Do Pigeons eat gherkins?

    I'm sure that somethings eating them? Three plants and not a fruit yet although I've seen babies....

    this is the salad patch that the infernal birds are using as their own personal salad bar (laziness on my part as I havent netted it) But I never thought they's eat the gherkins too!

    Tell me its not true! where's my gun....

    Lol...had to chuckle at the thread title!

    No idea whether they eat gerkins or not............suppose it depends if they can come by a few cheeseburgers to put them on?

      Between the pigeons at the plot and the snails at home, I have 1 gherkin plant left out of 7. I'm afraid the answer to your question is yes. Evil so and so's

        I'll have to cross my fingers then. I 've just planted out 4 small gherkin plants. Bought the seeds on a whim and don't have time to protect them with netting or anything. They look so tiny to be left out all on their own, but they will just have to be brave.
