    Is there anything i can still sow now?

    Hi Strawberry, can you add your location to your profile please? Then you won't have to tell us in every post cos it will show up at the top. As for what to sow now, I've just done another sowing of Kelvedon Wonder peas. Salad crops should be OK too.

        Not too late for carrots SD, but watch out for the carrot fly in August!

            Sure you'd be fine with turnips and kale, go for it! I find kale very, very hardy, it stands up to all sorts of bad weather.

              If I had to grow only one brassica it would be Black Kale.
              Location....East Midlands.

                I have just done another sowing of peas and carrots and have some kale waiting in the wings (curly scarlet I think)
                O just sown some more beetroot as well

                  i am resowing now with carrots,it gives me young roots in the autumn and i freeze down enough to last til next may/june,and if you want good flavoured carrots,you need to grow them yourself...
