Just seen an advertisement on the telly box for a free complete guide to growing your own veg from Which? with a year planner. 0800 920 160. Might be of use to some newbies? Hope I'm not stepping on any toes here, feel free to delete if I am.

Mine turned up the other day it is very basic information, only thing really useful is the yearly planner, much more usable advice given by the fonts of knowledge on here :0)

Nothing could be as comprehensive as the advice given on here gothmaga, but I thought it might be of some use to complete beginners who are a little reluctant to ask for advice. It might give them a nudge in this direction if nothing else.

They will- my friend got one but had to insist he was not going to subscribe to anything. I was not particularly impressed, but for someone who knows nothing it may have some use.

I did wonder about that Chris, not having rung myself. I thought it would be a dangling carrot. Never mind, the planner might be ok for newbies.

Indeed - I didn't mean to sound rude or anything Flo! I was only asking as previously, they used this tactic, and refused to send it out to a few people if they didn't take on their free sub offer too. I'm sure it was on here, but may have been another forum
