What to do with used compost?

    Over-watering/drainage holes not large? I've had this before, from toms setup on an auto-watering system.. I increased the size of the drainage holes and the problem went away (couldn't be bothered messing with the watering system again).

    I chucked that compost in my daleks, gave it a good mix up and am looking forward to digging it out again next year to use

      If it was smelly, it sounds like it's rotting anaerobically (too wet, not enough oxygen). Chuck it in your compost heap and mix it up well (layers of green/brown/green/brown, and air pockets from whole egg boxes or balls of scrunched newspaper)
