Hi Colin I went to Screwfix yesterday my first time and it was quite funny I saw this massive warehouse and was expecting to walk around for hours looking around for sealant instead your greeted with a Argos style counter etc it was like the Drs Tardis but in reverse I must say though the customer service in there was out of this world all the staff where really polite and smiling and you actually left wanting to go back again.

Nigel I used Dow Corning 794 Glazing silicone purpose made for PVCu, wood, aluminium and polycarbonate.

Cheapest place is Screwfix £4-33p. Your nearest St Davids Sq, Fengate, PE1 5QA and before someone asks no I don't work for them just buy my trade goods there.
