  • The Veg Virgin

Hiya to everyone. I like most members I suppose came upon this forum via the magazine and like most are looking for someone to tell me what to do! I have found myself inspired to go a bit Tom and Barbara and grow my own. I have prepared the site and and am now 'boldly going...' etc.
I have managed to get the free Falstaff seeds from the Feb edition to a sprouting stage ( see my blog at www.thevegvirgin.blogspot.com for pictures etc).
My question is what is the next step, do I leave them in the propogator tray or do I put them in bigger pots if so when, how big? How do I do it? Don't panic. Help anyone.
    Regards,
Stu.. p.s please do check out the blog if you have a moment.

      Hi there,
I have just joined today too. I have got some tomato seeds and some chilli seeds in the propogator at the mo..
I have sent of for the vegetable seed offer that is in the magazine this month...
I am hoping to have loads of vegetables for my family to eat.. I like the idea of providing for yourself and not relying on the big supermarkets that only provide bland tasting fruit and veg anyway

Would be nice to hear from anyone who would like to chat via email.. I will try to reply to all

        welcome nutsaboutveggies,
I havn't seen the latest mag yet, will buy it soon. my interest is also in veg plus fruit. I have a 1/2 plot allotment. so far this spring have broad beans in ground, strawberries, gooseberries, blueberries, raspberries, artichokes, asparagus, and five varieties of potato. applestreesx 2 one pear tree. have sown parsnips and radish. The weather is a bit kinder in devon so we can get going a bit earlier. must fly just remembered ironing and supper.
