Sow now?

Hello

Could someone please advise me as to what I can or should have sow now please?

I have an unheated greenhouse and an un heated utility room (this does stay warmer than the greenhouse though).

Well, there's a few early sowing threads going on.. it is very early in the seaon, but you could get away with sowing some tomatoes, peppers and aubergines... IF you have the space and can provide them with some heat to germinate.

It's still too cold to germinate (most things) in a cold greenhouse.

Hi Sue,

A lot of grapes have already started to sow many things however as I have pointed out elsewhere these are experienced gardeners with many tricks up their combined sleeves and they like to push the gardening envelope.

As you are new to gardening I would advise caution, follow the sowing dates on your seed packets it will lead to greater success in your first year.

I have been gardening for many a year and at the moment my total work load for this coming season is to have my seed potatoes laid out for chitting.

I to get itchy fingers but will hold off until I see what the weather is like at the back end on this month.

Onions and leeks dont require heat to germinate, plus their easier crops to get going and relatively trouble free when planted out.

Ive planted my giant onion and leek seeds this week but they do look horrible on the living room windowsill.
