Hello ive sown some ailsa craig onions indoors and a couple are just poking through, errrrr now what happens ........will they bolt if I leave them inside too long also any tips on when to get them in the ground thanks
Where have you got to put them outside-ish...a greenhouse, coldframe etc? Mine go out into an unheated greenhouse as soon as the first few pop above the soil.
Cold frame zazen, will they bolt if I leave them too long also I've got 12 modules going 2 per module how high should they be or is it literally as soon as there through thanks
Personally, I'd leave them indoors until this cold snap is over; and then pop them out on a decently sunny day with some bubble wrap under and fleece over.
Mine literally go out when I can see green. But my greenhouse is quite sheltered.
dont be to much of a hurry to put them out into the cold they will be set back by the major change of tempeture and conditions leave them in a window sill ...

keep it organic and taste and see the difference..
Mine are in a mini gh inside the greenhouse .........they've been in there since they were sown with a prop lid over them at first . As soon as they started popping up I took the lid off . So far so good ...but I can stick the lid back on if It gets really cold ..
