I think the slugs will just slowly slide over the branches on their layer of slime. There are far more tiny slugs under the soil (small black keel slugs) than you ever see on the surface. Cheers, Tony
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
Now a little Shrinking Violet.
copper tape seemed to work last year keeping the blighters out of my cucumber pots, but I am going to be hitting the plot (raised beds) with Nemaslug. I did see a real reduction in slugs in the garden after I watered it into the lawn last year. And around here, slugs reach the size of small dogs, so it was easy to tell if they were gone. (4-5 inches. Seriously. I can see why Nemaslug was invented in Bristol).
Now where did I read that the big slugs are not the ones you need to worry about? It is the little sneaky ones - grey and black - not the radioactive orange ones.
