  • Watering...

    Hi all.
I think I am guilty of over watering, my tomato plants on my window sills have been watered every day. Having read some articles, im sure i have done wrong, but they look ok.

I don't water mine every day. I check the weight of the pot and if it feels (technical term coming up) "light" I give it some water. In fact, I leave them until they are practically crawling across the desert crying water... water sometimes
I'm not saying that this is the right way and, as long as your plants look OK then that's probably fine but why not water half of them a bit less and see how it goes.

I'm probably more guiltly of underwatering.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Thanks to the advice these more experienced folk I'm now checking the weight of my pots before giving them water. I found that some looked bone-dry on top while still being quite heavy, while others were much lighter yet looked the same. The light ones get water and the heavy ones don't.
