Which compost to use for planting veg

Hi, im new to growing my own fruit and veg and at mo and i have started up with a walk in greenhouse, i already have strawberries and potatoes planted in multi purpose compost and all the my other plants in vegetable compost i just wondered if any other fruits and veg can be grown in multi purpose compost or does it have to be vegetable compost?
I'm also planning on started with a square foot garden for growing lots of varieties so any compost information would be great.

Are you planning on growing everything in containers, or do you have some open ground (e.g. garden) that you can grow in?

I have a garden but it isnt prepared thats why im going with the containers and square foot ideas for now. Plus i get problems from neighbourhood cats so need to think about it.

I would be tempted to mix some John Innes No.3 in with your MPC, to give it some guts

Don't forget that as you are going to grow in containers most will need extra feeding as you go along. MPC even premixed with other stuff has a limited amount of nutrients and these will be burnt up before your plants reach maturity.

^ yep.

I feed throughout the season with comfrey or seaweed tea (I'm preferring the seaweed so far, it smells much nicer in the confined space of the greenhouse)
