weather has been really poor here so my caulis are little more than large seedlings .....

Oooh, I grew caulis for the first time too! And although I only have two to harvest but they both look like yours.

Its sooooo exciting!

Watch out for picaliliy next year (which is my aim with the caulis). Have to eat them this year because I can!

i planted the potatoes around the middle of march and the cauli was planted in my greenhouse back end of march and when it got too big in greenhouse i planted it at the side oh hubbys shed which is only about 8inches wide. we made a frame to go over it and covered it with netting so it didn't get eaten by caterpillars. might try and grow sprouts again as last time i tried i didn't realise that you had to net them and they were eaten alive by caterpillars, so i ended up pulling them out

On my shared allotment I noticed lots of caterpillars underneath my co-sharees netting. Quickly phoned and she removed them all - if I'd done it it would have involved dismantling the netting - she said no problem the sprouts will be fine and yes they were. The leaves had been badly stripped. Anyone else done a similar thing rather than dig up the plants. Lovely cauli and potatoes BTW.

I didn't net my sprouts last year. They had the occasional caterpillar and were smothered in white fly, but the sprouts were absolutely fine.

Congrats Flopsy! My lot are only just getting over their flea beetle attack.
