  • urgent advice needed please

My chilli, pepper and a couple of tomao plants all have some tiny insects all over them, looks a bit like greenfly, they have been in a greenhouse so i I have just sprayed some plant rescue all over the leaves, will this save the plants or is there anything else i can do. I hope i can save them as they were all starting to flower.

Just googled Plantrescue and it is a contact killer, so as long as you sprayed the bugs and not just the leaves it should work.

I'd recommend finding out what they are before spraying them...but that's done now.

Most likely greenfly, (they aren't just green either). Just squish them in your fingers, no need for sprays

          Thanks for the replies.
It was greenfly, like i said we sprayed them all and also killed them with our fingers because couldnt wait for the spray to work, all clear of them now, just hope we dont get them again.

You will get them again, they're very determined. Keep your eyes peeled for the first invaders, and squish them as they appear, to keep the population under control (we need SOME, to feed the ladybirds, hoverflies & lacewings)

              Very determined is right....

I have two chilli plants with them and despite a squishing and spraing down with a powerful hose, they always seem to re-appear..buggers!!

Plant some french marigolds or tagetes. I had a greenfly invasion in the tunnel earlier in the year but now the flowers are doing well in keeping them under control and they look pretty too!!
