  • ID on a couple of plants needed

Im just back from clearing a garden in Bulgaria , found a couple of plants im not sure what they are,
Both of them people seem to grow a lot of....but i cant ask them as i dont speak much Bulgarian....
Maybe they are grown in the UK , but i havent seen them , i would like to try one of them here but need an id as im not sure cuttings would get here ( or be legal! )

1st plant, grown over walls in many houses, seems more of a bush than a climber

2nd plant, is a tree....almost everything in Bulgaria is grown for a reason , food , medicine or something! , this one is right by the well in a place easy to get to

It has loads of orange fruit, look like rosehips or large goji berrys , tree is about 25 foot tall, the fruit is oval and has an oval stone, the stone looks just like an almond but about 10mm long
the pictures arent that good, but the first one the leaves are clear, the second is a bit blured with the heat but the fruit is there somewere!

Thanks, That does look like it , it seems quite tame in the garden compared to the description, its growing right next to the well but the soil was like dry sand due to being just under 40 degrees so it may be ok soil just dry, all the plants seem to grow fine but it cant have many nutrients in it as the house has been empty for over 10 years

It will probably go mad everywere now, i sprinkled everything with a light sprinkle of blood, fish+bone fertiliser

Ive just looked for another photo of the fruit tree, the one i should have uploaded, i cant zoom in and save as i seem to loose resolution so ive put a box around some of the fruit , it should be high enough resolution to zoom in

Ive just put it on my server as the unshrunk picture, its too big for on here, same pic fruit is visible on this one when zoomed in but when i resize for on here the pic goes low res.

I cant attach it as image on the net either so the link it should load from is

                  http://www.glue-shop.com/100_0830.JPG

When loaded up i can click on the pic and it just zooms in a bit, fairly clear fruit pic but not very large!

I think they may be almond trees. The fruit looks like that before they split to expose the nuts inside

hang on there are tree's on the left and right, the ones on the right have yellow/ green fruit and the ones on the left look orange/reddish.

                            - so which tree are we on about, the right or left?

The tree on the right hand side closest to the camera ( one on the left a bit further away is a plum tree of some type ) , they are definatlely not peaches , skin of fruit is bright orange gloss and waxy when the birds steal it , kind of like a goji berry shape and colour ( not a goji berry plant though ) fruit is about 15mm long, theres no real fruit to the fruit as the seed inside is almost the same size just over 10mm

Not much fruit was left when i took photo, end of June there was loads , green starting to go orange, within a few days it was all orange.....i went back to tree with camera next day and most of the fruits had gone, the birds seem to like it
