Are these the ones?
If so, they are delicious. I came across them 30 years ago on a kibbutz.Loquat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaSent from my pc cos I don't have an i-phone.

Its taken some time...but I have found out what it is.... I think!
a neighbour called it a ` dryan ` typing it into google it does come up with leaves and fruits the same
This year I protected some of the fruit and it ends up as a large jellybean shaped fruit about 1/2 inch in diameter and 1 inch long and a very dark red in colour
Its a Dogwood tree, Cornus Mas , the Cornelian Cherry , apparently tastes like sour cherries so I will try some next year ( after I show it to another neighbour or two and see if they will eat them... )

I've seen the first one in gardens here in Slovakia, and I agree with Campsis radicans aka Trumpet Vine.
The second one I can't see the fruit of, but the leaves and branches look similar to a bush that sprang up in my garden. I was trying to ID it and I narrowed it down to a type of dogwood or Cornus species. The best known one for fruiting is Cornus mas, aka Cornelian cherry, which is also popular here, so maybe that's what yours is.
Oops! Starloc, I somehow didn't see your answer before I posted mine.Last edited by Zelenina; 07-10-2014, 12:59 AM.
