Hi guys
Apologies for my recent absence. Our family has had a very tough time of late. My sister lost her baby after being born at just 30 weeks of pregnancy for the second time! Then soon after that, my brother in law took his own life at just 35 years of age totally out of the blue!
Anyway, things are slowly getting back to as normal as possible and after some very wet weather of late my spuds weren't looking to healthy so I took the decision to lift them today. Ideally another 2/3 weeks would have been perfect, but the results were very good considering how late in the year they went in. From 50 seed potatoes the yield returned approx 22lb:
I was more than happy and will be enjoying some lovely roasties tomorrow, along with some baby carrots that I also collected.
I have been asked to moderate on another forum that has just been started from scratch so although I will be around on here, I will also be dedicating some time to that too.
It's nice to be back posting again, and I look forward to future happier times.
Thanks everyone
Chris
