Uses for Pond 'Waste'?

Afternoon all,

My nan was just clearing out the pond and I was wondering is there any way to use various pond items such as pond weeds, algae, silt around the garden? Can it also be composted?

Yes - leave it by the side of the pond for a few days for the critters to crawl out then it goes in the compost bin.
