Hi, I have been reading all the posts on here so have only just got round to actually posting anything.
I have my own veg plot in my garden and am picking up so many tips on here it's brilliant.
Got the usual problem with bindweed and thistles but gradually getting them cleared. I will try and post some photos when i can sort out how to do it .

Yes we have 6 call ducks and 5 hens. We are lucky enough to have a garden which is 150ft long. we have divided it into 4 sections - flower garden, hubbys area, veg garden and then the animals. When we moved in it was all 3ft high grass but after a lot of donkey work (mainly from hubby) its really taking shape. I will try to post photos but they will be from last summer as i haven't taken many this year. Constantly under construction as most peoples gardens are so lots more to happen.

thats great debbie, finally somone else with ducks, we had 2 khaki campells 3 runners 1 alysbury, and 4 chooks, lost 1 chook 2 cancer the rest to the fox, we have just the alysbury, a khaki, and 2 chooks left.
there are loads of chook keepers, keep an eye on the rule the roost section.
will our gardens/allotments ever be finished?

Welcome Debsducks. If you've read all the posts on the vine, you must have had mostly sleepless nights burning the midnight oil. I've only been here a few weeks but I've learned so much already, but I know I've not even scratched the surface yet.

Next is me veg patch followed by my first harvest and then the undeveloped and weed covered area.
Sorry they a bit small i will have to have another go.

What a beautiful garden you have there Alice. We have been in our house for 6yrs this june and its only just becoming established.

we've been here about 18 months and are no where near what you have, when the money comes in its always, do we get a bedroom carpet? or some new fence? its encouraging to see what you have done!

Thanks Debs, but I've been in this house 25 years and still loads of work to do. We did start from nothing - well wished we had nothing. We had to get rid of all the rubbish (several skips) and clear the brambles, nettles, thistles and waist high grass. Most of the plants were raised from seed, cuttings, layers or grown on from very small pot plants. We just did it bit by bit over the years as time and money allowed. It's the only way. Yours is looking lovely now, and will be whatever you want it to be.
