Hello everyone, thought I would introduce my self, my names Brett, from the north east, and I am 23 years of age.
Stumbled upon this website/forum a few weeks ago, and it has answered a lot of questions I had in regards to my garden/mini allotment so I thought I would sign up and not be shy!
Me and my partner have just moved in to our first house, and we are expecting our first child. My instant focus was to get the garden and allotment sorted in time for baby Tommy arriving (August the 19th eeeeeek! ). Progress so far is shifted a ton of gravel ready to lay turf, dig up a section for raised beds for my veg which have been built, and create a border of flower beds, so far everything has went to plan, I just have the back breaking work of digging over the soil and putting down top soil for the turf - its like concrete from being compressed under all of that gravel!
What I have started growing is Pak Choi, beetroot, beans, peas, spinach beet, baby leeks, spring onions and 6 different types of chilli plans, not to mention 16, meter tall sunflowers (partners request as they are her favourite flower) which are going crazy and 24 lavender seedlings.
I am just an amature starting out, and thoroughly enjoying my self. I am looking forward to picking your brains for all your expertise, knowledge, guidance and advice
Hope you are all well.
Brett
