strawberries

i picked my first 3 strawberries yesterday and they were huge. I have noticed today though that a couple of the ripening one on the plants have holes in them - is this slugs? I have got straw under the plants and netting over the topof them, can i put slug pellets round them?

Yep, slugs, snails and woodlice. You can use pellets if you wish.
