Guy's, i'm wondering if you can help me out a bit with my tomatoes?
We've 3 varieties in the greenhouse that we bought from the local village plant sale.
The first is a "bushy" type, that I understand don't need the side shoots picking off. Growing well, has flowered for about 2 weeks, but no signs of tomatoes.
The second type is a tallish one (money something I seem to remember), again growing well, flowered after no1, and now has little green fruits - hurrah!
The third type is similar to the second, but not as tall. I've been nipping out the side shoots, it's again is growing well, but as of yet no flowers at all.
So, I'm pretty pleased with type 2, but wondering why type 1 has a long lasting flower with no fruit and why type 3 has no flowers at all?
