Been growing some, all in pots at the moment, one had a cucumber dangling over the edge, anyhow I noticed it was on the ground today so I must have knocked it off when watering, or maybe the wind did it.
It was very small easily fit in the palm of the jand but the good news is it tastes good.
I am normally not too keen on cucumber, some have a strange (gaseous' taste *hard to describe) which would make me not want to eat it, but I am looking forward to eating this one, indeed it is in my sandwich now
So there may be lesson for me there, this one tastes light fresh and fruity, so I think best to pick them earlier rather than later.
I think in general with food the younger tends to be batter tasting?
But I am pretty please as I didn't like the ones I grew last year, they had that odd taste I do not like but this one make me want to eat it raw!!!
