So, I reckon it won't be too long now before it's time to take the potatoes out of the bags, all of which means there'll be five new possible spaces for growing. The potatoes have all been grown in very regular compost from Homebase, and I'm wondering if I can use it again for growing carrots and various brassicas throughout the Autumn and Winter. Would it be OK to mix in a bit of something like Organic Extra from Marshall's - something I've used this year with pretty good results so far - or would the compost have been so depleted by the potatoes as to only be useful for the compost bin or merely discarded now it's been bashed about and worn out by the spuds?...
