I have Rhubarb growing against my Westerly facing (sunny) fence. I have space alongside my shed, which is Easterly facing, so some early sunshine before becoming shady. Would this area be OK for rhubarb, or is it not sunny/warm enough?

Rhubarb will grow absolutely anywhere. It's probably one of the most mal-treated things we grow. If you don't like where it is, now's a good time to dig it up and move it. You're best to let it re-establish for a year, but it will keep forming edible stalks all of next year which you can pick sparingly. It just keeps on giving.Are y'oroight booy?Comment

Like Vince has said you move your rhubarb to a place that suits you plus if you leave some behind you can force it under a bucket for an early crop.Location....East Midlands.Comment

Thanks Bren & Vince, I don't intend moving my rhubarb from it's present sunny position, but I have a couple of younger plants in pots with some 'new' later fruit producing plants on order, so just trying to use available space. So yep I will try them against the more 'Shady' area alongside she shed.

Could I ask a rhubarb question too, please? I was meant to dig out a friend's roob Sept/Oct and bring it to our veg patch, but first torrential rain then DH and I both pinging our backs meant we didn't get round to it. It's dry now and DH and I are both back in one piece, so could we move it now, or would it really object to being re-sited in December?Is there anything that isn't made better by half an hour pottering in the veg patch?Comment
