Any ideas on how I can define the perimeters of my allotment plot?

I've got foot wide old paving slabs on the main path round mine- they come up a lot on the local freecycle, sometimes with a bit of mortar or other gunk stuck to them, but who cares? It beats having mud everywhere when it's soggy!

Over the time we've had our lottie, I've been acquiring boards/planks etc and these form our perimeter. Often B&Q, Homebase etc let you have lengths of timber for a few pence if they're warped - worth asking, as I got some very sturdy 8 foot pressure treated decking boards a while back as B&Q had a few left which were no good to them as the line was being discontinued.

Have you considered laser beams that when interupted play a recorded message? Gerrof my plot" Of course you neighbours will feel duty bound to hire a cherry picker and lower themselves Tom cruise like onto your prize cabbages.
