The one thing that I'm "well aware" of is that in your view your comments are honest and accurate. You are entitled to your opinion as are we all.

I've stayed out of this so far Plotman, but I find it rather arrogant that you are so sure that your way is the CORRECT way.

Are you not even prepared to try any other ways?

Plotman - shurrup, will ya! Some people prefer allotmenteering in a traditional way. Others do not. We all love growing veg. We all have an opinion. No opinion is more valid than another. There is plenty of room for the views of all on this site.

What there is not room for is for ANYONE to be snippy and telling people what is definitively wrong or definitively right. That goes for you all - MOM has spoken. Now settle down and play nicely before anyone has to start wielding a pointy stick!!

So are we left to assume that all people that do are ridiculous also?

So, are we to believe that in your opinion there is only one way to garden?

So is gardening only for the fit, slim and slow?

I find it strange that you take umbridge over other peoples comments and that you feel you are being singled out, when your own comments are argumentative and belittling. I've chosen to highlight them here for you, perhaps then you might see why you have rubbed some up the wrong way.

Also I believe the use of the embarrassed smiley is neither a defense or an excuse for your tone or comments. I fully believe you have a right to free choice and opinion, and I would defend that right against any that said you couldn't, but it should not be at the expense of others, you'll find people a lot easier to get along with here if your choice of language is less emotive.
One final comment in reply to distorted comments on my views. I do not need or wish for you to defend my rights on any subject thankyou, niether to i need your advise on how to mix better with your little click of fiends on here. Something i was warned about on a private message. Just bear in mind your reference to getting on with members refers ONLY to you and the four likes your rant recieved. Point made i think.
Maybe the prob here is I take the science of Gardening in general and allotments particularly in a passionate and serious manner. As a member of ************* I find myself surrounded by people with same motivation and serious approach to cultivation as I enjoy.
I was hoping that members on this site might uphold same values but i guess here it is more of a fun dabble at it type of club. So not for me, I will leave you with your little click of friends to continue to stick your claws in, in my absence and feed each other with your little quarks )

              Enough I think??
There is no clique here plotman- just people who have- and expect - good manners during interesting discussions.
I'm closing this thread as we are all now aware of two very different approaches to digging .
