Any advice for a newbie for planting 'dwarf' fruit trees?

Afternoon everyone,

My aunty has acquired 4 dwarf fruit trees for my allotment patch and we have decided where they are to go but the trouble is the perfect place for them is where I have recently (~month ago) put some raw manure.

I know that it is advisable to wait ~6 months before planting but can i simply remove with a hoe the raw stuff away from where I am going to plant the trees and dig a hole and plant them?

Also any general advice regarding planting these trees?

You want to be putting them in the ground when dormant, so if you're unsure that the site is going to be OK, I'd keep them in pots for 12 months rather than plant them in mid season.

Well ..... actually, I'd keep them in pots forever, but I'm strange like that

I've just moved 3 dwarf fruit trees from large pots on patio, and have planted out on my allotment, they seem fine and have buds etc,but I'm not sure about the manure, you will have to move it cos it could burn your trees, but I'm not sure if moving it quickly, will be ok.

Am sure a 'fruit tree' expert will be able to advise you.

If it was me I would move the fresh manure to one side (clear of the rootball of the tree) and I think they would be fine. Mine have some urea that has leached from the manure into the soil, which would be strong in Nitrogen ... if you can replace the soil in the planting hole with soil from another part of the plot that hasn't been manured that should hep
