I have ordered three varieties of potato to grow in containers, no problem how to do that but the supposedly staggered order came all together (possibly growing problems), so all three, 2x first early and 1x second early are starting to chit at around the same rate in the parcel, but I did not want to plant all at one time. Is it purely holding at a lower temperature to try and enable planting at different times, that will solve the problem, please? I have a frost free area that is reasonably light. Perhaps cropping will occur naturally, at good intervals. Thank you.

As already said, all varieties are normally planted at the same time but are harvested at different times. You could delay planting if you wish by rubbing off the chits.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”
