  • Sorry... another question! Apache chillies

I have 2 lovely apache plants that are just gorgeous. I love the colour of their leaves....

Anyway... they are all starting to have wee flower buds. In 2 days they are covered which is great. Should I start feeding it tomatoe feed?????

Also... (being very very thinck here!)... do the chillies grow behind the flowers???

    Or aren't they even flowers???

Any help appreciated as I am feeling rather thick this evening.

    Hi again Noidea
I have about 50 very bushy Apache plants at the moment - not quite as advanced as yours but don't think they are far away
If they have started to flower, then I would certainly start to feed them.
The fruits will form behind the flowers

            oooh! Apache chillis. Great plants.

I got over 100 chillies on each plant that I have grown (in the last two years). I am keeping it down to two plants maximum as a result!!

If grown in the heat (mine are, greenhouse gets up to 40 degrees) they are quite vicious - supposed to be medium in strength, but I wouldn't put a whole one in my dish!

They are my sunny windowsill plants and I have to say they are lovely to look at too.

I have 20-30 little flower buds on each one now. I was quite surprised that there were so many on such a small plant... they are about 12inches high I think.

Was wondering actually if they benifit from being sprayed/misted as the cucs and toms do???

              Thanks everyone!

I don't mist my cucs & toms either
