Hello all.
My names Jonathon and I have decided that the time is right to take the plunge into growing my own fruit and veg. I have quite a large garden to use however all parts get shaded at different times either by the house next to me or a rather large tree just outside my garden.
I currently do not have a greenhouse but am toying with the idea of getting one of them "blowaways" however, I did have one a while back and it did exactly that ( mainly because I left it in a part of the garden that actually got very windy and it wasn't anchored properly )
What I would like to do is to grow strawberries, black and red currents maybe a small potted fruit tree or bush if possible as well as tomatoes, potatoes, carrots and cabbage. If I have room I would love to grow cauliflower, broccoli and a whole host of other goodies.
I saw a post on here earlier today where someone (apologies I cannot remember who it was or where) grew Ginger indoors so I am going to give that a go, but I am open all kinds of help and advise.
Oh forgot to mention that I am going to be putting my name (and grandads too ) for an allotment plot but for the time being must rely on my own space.
Thanks a lot for looking guys and gals.
Jonathon.
