  • Can i plant out young comfrey plants in March?

Hi got myself some bocking 14 comfrey which is now about 10cm in height would they be okay to plant out at my allotment in march? Or is it a safer bet to keep them in pots and plant out in april? Im situated in kent

    thanks

Where have you been keeping it till now?

I noticed that my comfrey on the plot is starting to grow, so I think you would be safe enough planting it provided you harden it off gradually if it's been kept indoors.

They are tough plants ... but having said that I grew mine on in pots, hardened off, and then planted out - but I think that was seriously Belt and Braces!

The slugs will eat tender baby leaves though on new plants.
