I have it everywhere to, it has the ability to grow very small in poor nutrient areas and very big in fertile soil, it also hides itself brilliantly behind other plants.

Does anyone know why its called Herb Robert? was or is it ever used as a herb? and who was Robert?

I guess that Robert was pretty smelly. According to Wikipedia you can rub it on your skin to repel mosquitos. But if you do that, please don't come near me.

Salt is an easy way to kill weeds on the drive, or boiling water from the kettle. Don't use salt near anything you don't want to kill though: it's indiscriminate

Mixed salt and vinegar to approx 4 parts water and will see no weeds on the driveway for years.

As above don't use near anything else or you having anything growing for years

What would be the amounts of salt and vinegar to the 4 parts water, and would it be okay to use on my brick driveway............I hate weeding between the blocks with a vengeance!!!

1 part salt, 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water..... You can vary the mix to suit your needs.

As they say when using chemicals on fabrics, test in a small unseen area first to see if there are any adverse effects.
It will probably take several applications (every week to 10 days) to work as vinegar is generally only a weed suppressant. The salt seems to kill the roots but more importantly prevents new weeds coming back.

Test in a small area first and see if it works

                            That flower/weed is a nightmare.
I have it growing in various places in my garden and no matter how many times i pull it, especially at the side of my house, it always comes back later, or the following year.

I'm not too bothered about it in my front garden.
As i'm growing, well i've sown, lots of wild flower seeds to brighten up an otherwise dull garden, i think it will be a great addition.
But i do try and keep it down because it does grow very, very fast.
Until the wild flower seedlings have gotten to a good size, i will keep on cutting back the Herb Robert until those wild flowers are able to easily fend for themselves.

Blasted stuff is a pain in the b*m, prolific here in Yorkshire. Nasty smell when you pull it up - known as "Stinking Bob" locally. My MIL took some back to Kent one year as she thought it was so pretty. I did warn her but if the stuff is now rife in Kent you know who to blame.
