I'm new to the forum. I've been reading it since finding the mag three months ago and got around to joining today.
I've got some little growing experience (mainly hit and miss ) but really got going last year when we bought a greenhouse. I grew loads of stuff in it last year and in grow bags, containers and a raised bed. This year we've added a new extra bed and have planted two apple trees, a plum and a greengage.
I'm suffering from garden frustration at the moment but I'm sure I'm not alone. I think I got started too early, and of course spring has been later than last year, so my windowsills are clogged up with seedlings. Some of my tomatoes are definitely ready to go into bigger pots in the greenhouse but its still too cold.

Hi Kitty, welcome to the forum, we're all in the same boat, spring is on hiatus and we can't put anything out without being vigilent with fleece or hot water bottles.

Hi, I'm the same, I have a kitchen full of seedlings, plugplants & cuttings balanced on the windowsill, microwave,table,stool-every available surface. I have moved one or two hardier things out into my tiny plastic greenhouse but am dying for the weather to warm up!

Just checked the weather forecast and there's a 70% chance of snow on Sunday night and that's in London . Don't think I'll be planting anything this weekend!

Hello Black Kitty and everybody else suffering from this cold spring. Know what you all mean about the seedlings all round the house on the window sills. At the moment my house looks like some crazy hippie farmhouse with the stuff everywhere. No real sign of anything warmer on the horizon. If nothing improves soon I'll have to give in and heat the greenhouse. I try to avoid this as its so expensive. Does anyone know what it actually costs to heat a 6x8 insulated with bubble wrap.

The forecast for up here ain't hot and sunny if you know what I mean. All my seeds are still in foil packets, except 10 Minicole cabbage, 10 Idol cauliflower and 20 Musselburgh leeks - sown yesterday after work - in the vain hope of getting the jump on the weather when it finally turns warm - reckon abuot August
