sweet potatoes

thinking of growing sweet potato.

I've never grew them but have more space now, can anyone tell me how they are to grow and do they need much space..

They take a while to get a tuber to sprout, and then to get a "slip" from that going, so my suggestion would be that you buy a plant for this season ... and maybe grow next year's crop from your saved harvest?
