Its hard to see them in these pics, but going by the shape, colour, the one on the right looks a bit like Summer Savoury to me. -
Are they flowers/shrubs/herbs? Any more clues?Comment

The first one is a Spirea...possibly 'Goldflame'. Loves the sun and should produce pink flowers as well as the lovely foliage. I cut mine back by half in March
The second one needs a better picture....does it smell if the leaves are rubbed...it looked a bit herb-like, maybe Tarragon. Might possibly be a sub-shrub called ZauschnariaPlease visit my facebook page for the garden i look after

Thx for the feedback. Gold flame rings a bell second one is not a herb I think a shrub. Produces pink/ purple flower mid to late summer and is double the size it was 2 years ago. Thanks again folks and keep the guessing coming. Will take a better pic later as I have now cracked open the cider. Lol.

If you had said the second one flowered in spring to mid summer it could have been a perennial wallflower or Erisymium. My other suggestion was lavender.Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?Comment

Here is my best description Thick hedge like with woody stalks spreads along the ground as appose to height. Pink/ purple flowers mid to late summer dies right back to said woody stalks in winter. This is fun.

Not erisymum checked on Google. It's to tall and the leaves are to long. I had another variety that was lighter foliage with bright pink flowers. I do remember the stems not being as tightly packed when first purchased but I assume this is because of lack of pruning. I have always just snapped off the papery flower heads after blossom.
