  • watering my seeds

    hi guys had a little search of the forum cant seem to find what im after, now I have sown my seeds yesterday and gave them a watering... do I wait for the mpc to dry out before watering again or is it ok to keep the soild wet at all times? cheers

    Whilst they are wet, lift the pots/trays & remember the weight. You will know if they need watering because they will become lighter in weight. When they do need water, stand them in a container of water for 5 mins & feel the weight again. You will soon get the feel of when they need a drink. The compost needs to be moist not wet.

      Great advice, I always cover mine until they come up and this keeps the soil moist. Planted the next lot of little gems 2 days ago - they're up, and will be moved, cause the slow coaches still need covering
