Alstroemeria shoots

Hi Guys,

I know this website is fruit and veg, but I'm in need of some help.

I'm growing Alstroemeria, I bought it last year already in bloom, I had 3 shoots of it. Over the winter I was unaware that they need cutting back and mulching.

Anyway, this Spring I had something growing where the Alstroemeria was they were small and flat, I assumed they were the Alstroemeria. Now that an actual Alstroemeria is growing, I want to know what these small flat things are (see picture 2) and is picture 3 the Alstroemeria?.

Does anyone know?

The small flat things are, I think, hellebores. And Picture 3 could well be Alstroemeria, although it's been a good few years since I grew it. I do remember how much the slugs and snails liked it, though.

Picture 2 looks like hellebores, I think picture 3 is the alstroemeria

It would agree with the small flat things being hellebores and the other looks like alstroemeria.

pic 1 and 2 are Hellibores, pic 3 could be an Alstro

Thanks to everyone who replied, it was a great help, sadly the builder accidentally killed my sole alstroemeria shoot last week
