  • Spring onions

I planted a bed of spring onions, and excitedly saw shoots beggining to appear. However they have started cropping up in places I'm sure I didn't plant the seeds! I'm beggining to worry that I'm just nurturing grass rather than spring onions!

What do you think?! They have almost doubled in size as this was on Monday (forgot to take a picture last night). It did rain quite heavily the day we planted them, so could they have shifted? Also had a 3 year old helping so he may of dropped some seeds.

I think you're right they are sort of bent over when they first start to grow like the one in my photo.

Sorry MrsK, that ain't no spring onion in your photo. How long ago did you put your seeds in? They can take a few weeks to sprout at this time of year.
